Back out

Published by at 8:01 pm under Expeditions and Experiences

My father drove my brother, a friend of his and me back up to the mountains. I am focusing on skills now rather than survival, since I am so limited by the law in hunting. Today I grained and membraned a roe deer hide. It is now rinsing in a stream. The photo is of my parents farm.

    Hey Torjus,

well that might be just a very wise decision under these circumstances
you are however out there, in nature, enjoying yourself
weather is good so its probably much more fun
and you are learning a lot and getting very skilled in the things you learn
I just admire you for what you are doing there
and great to have such support from you family along in this experience

looking froward to read about your journey tomorrow

Not many are willing to make the attempt at roughing it in the wild. You have done well, and you are gaining valuable insight. Many sit by and read and say they will know what to do if/when they must be in the wilderness one on one with the living reality. Learn what you must, do what you must. Pass it on to those who want it. Any thing that dose not kill you makes you stronger. Every thing you live through makes you wiser. Take care.

Beatiful picture of our farm, despite of the bad quality I was moved by this actually;) For the first time (well, almost the first) I feel a little bit homesick looking at the autumn colours back home.

Well I know, my comments are problably not the most relevant due to your project, but what the heck. Enjoy the autumn in the mountains, I am only surrounded by pavement!;)

    Take care..
