Temporary changes

Published by at 6:04 pm under Expeditions and Experiences

I have thought this through well now. There is a number of things I want to do while here that this is keeping me from. I need to get myself a proper bowstave, maybe some moose hides and similar. All time consuming stuff that will interfere with day to day survival. I’ll post updates regardlessly and go back out monday at the latest. I hope you understand, though it feels a little like letting you down. It will mean more and juicier articles when I’m back in civilisation. Today I hunted a bit unsuccessfully of course. And I gathered materials for a kettle. I also got the lovely mail from the army! I have been conscripted into the home defence even though I have served full duty. They can all go to hell!

    Hey Tor’,

you sound more empowered and determined
I guess a night good sleep, warm and maybe some better food helps
think you are doing a fantastic job
you say ‘feels like letting you down’
don;t think like that man, you are doing this for YOU
this is your challenge, your chance and your experience
and we are just fortunate to learn form you experiences
be well, stay safe, stay warm

PS I udnerstand the army calls on you?
maybe a reason to search for a more permanent continuation of this experience somewhere…

    best regards,

Yo man, looks like you are surviving well so far. Your wife told me to tell you hi, and don’t come back too soon! 😉

What is really rought it seems is the reality of the restrictions of the hunting. Had you been in a truly wild surviving situation, you’d have bagged some good meat already.

Good luck! I’ll try to keep checking on you, don’t go dying on us.

Don’t feel like you’re letting anyone down. the Law and hunting permits are a modern influence which you can’t escape. A couple of days to level the field again is no failure.
