Santa is coming to town!
Or at least his reindeers did. I have a pretty big stack of frozen skins I need to thaw up and flesh. Some are done and plenty still to go. I see a sleeping bag, fur jacket etc… 😀

Hi,
Are you going to brain tan all those skins? Hair on?
Are you planing on making clothes in any particular style like the sami peple or perhaps like otzi from the alps?
I am working on some primitive clothing myself with red deer buckskin except for the temperate Irish climate.
i ve been following your blog for a while and have learnt alot from it.
keep it up.

Very nice! I envy your supply of reindeer hides 🙂

fantastic – 20 skins!!! That will surely make a couple of good sleeping bags I’d say!
maybe also some material for boots? Or a jacket? It’s quite incredible and awesum to see all the skills you have and what you do Torjus, feel very fortunate to be able to follow your steps!

I’ll keep some of the skins in a dried state, for sleeping mats. The sleeping bag stuff I’ll braintan hair on. Same with other fur garnment of course. Some of the skins I’ll likely make buckskin out of.
